Wow! Its about time! Back when the Froyo update was released, I eagerly snatched it up, drooling about all the froyo goodness, but the joke was on me! I had a ton of issues with the update, and no way to go back! Thankfully, the talented group at XDA developers have released a hack for the Evo 4g that allows you to root the 2.2 updated version! It looks very complicated, so I will probably wait until an easier method is posted before I jump in. If enough people request it, I might do it, and post a video so the rest of you daredevils can join in the fun! While this doesnt necessarily fix any of my issues, it does mean I can load CyanogenMod, which in my experience with the G1, fixes most problems in a matter of days, not months or years like htc and sprint do.
