Back of the photo: Landed in Athens minus one wallet — lost somewhere between Schiphol and the gate. Canceled the cards from the boarding line; the passport survived because it lives in its own pocket, a rule I’d made years earlier and have never broken since. The cash was gone. The trip wasn’t.
