The umbrella went up, the buckets came out

*July 2026 · Florida · with the boys* > *Back of the photo:* Ten days on the Gulf coast with two small men. The plan was the beach. What actually happened was a pool with a waterfall, a Walmart run for a cooler and snacks, and the discovery that the water behind the hotel connected straight to the ocean — so we skipped shells there instead and called it a win. Then dolphins, a sea turtle, sand toys, ice cream that melted faster than they could eat it, aunt and uncle, and a stranger's chopper in a parking lot that I had to stop and look at.
